Power of Shiva
Arunachala Shiva, Arunachala Shiva Arunachala….
The sacred mountain of Arunchala, the Shiva mountain, taught me so much and still continues to do so. How can a mountain be a guru? This mountain gives me power and strength. The energy it holds is that of fire-it burns through the parts of myself that are no longer serving me anymore. Those parts of myself which are egoic, unreal, illusory and caught up in story and drama. I do not need to be physically at this mountain in South India to feels its power. From when I was in the womb, one of the main mantras sung to me by my parents was "Om Namah Shivaya." To this day, this mantra is one which I come back to whenever my mind is erratic, or my emotions are overwhelming. It directly translates to "I bow down to Shiva-my divine true inner self." It helped me as a child, as a teenager and now in my adulthood it continues to guide me. In class tomorrow night, I want to introduce you to this mantra and the power it can bring you in your life. We will tune into all it's aspects, as it embodies all of the elements in it's sound. It is simple, yet empowering. So either on the mat tomorrow, or just in your daily lives. OM NAMAH SHIVAYA-see what can bring into your world! Yoga Peace-5.30pm on Tuesday. Seriya x ![]()

Look for the remedy inside the pain.
