Hatha Yoga (Sivananda Tradition)
Yoga originates from the Sanskrit term ‘yuj’-to unite or union. Meaning the union of body, mind and spirit to reach a certain state of consciousness. It is about connecting and uniting-ultimately with the divine.
The hatha classes I teach are based on the Sivananda Yoga tradition, integrating meditation, pranayama, asanas, mantras and relaxation. Yoga is calming the thought waves of the mind. Our body communicates to us clearly what it needs, the essence is being open and willing to listen. Sivananda yoga takes a holistic approach to our practice, which nourishes the body, mind and soul. "Seriya is a great teacher. Her dedicated, gentle and balanced classes bring you to the depths of yourself through yoga. So Beautiful..."-Shachi
A classical practice which shares a nurturing and deep practice for the experienced yogi’s, while introducing a solid foundation for those new to yoga
