Art of Daily Living
Nitya Karma is the art of daily living. It is bringing awareness and the sacred to each moment in our lives. Even the obligations that seem so trivial, if we just use them as opportunities for devotion, for finding the joy within, then each moment in life is a meditation- each action becomes an act of spiritual service. ![]()
Nitya Karma also helps us in overcoming our self-centredness. Recognising that we receive help from all other sources-all other beings, and the divine; helps us in becoming humble. Slowly the concern for one's own life diminishes and we begin to have a larger view of life. We are all interconnected and we can practice this by seeing the light in the others, rather than focusing on their shadow. There is a statement in Sanskrit ‘vāsudaiva kutumbhakam’, which means that the whole universe is one family. I love this, it just rings so true and the perfect reminder for me today.
We will look at this within our yoga practice tomorrow night. Remembering that yoga is more than what we practice on the mat, this is only the beginning! 5.30-7pm @ Yoga Peace Mullumbimby

~ Sogyal Rinpoche

“As you dissolve into love, your ego fades. You’re not thinking about loving; you’re just being love, radiating like the sun.”
~ Ram Dass

"The Guru is within you, not here. Guru is not outside. Guru awakens that knowledge that is within you."
~ Swami Vishnudevananda

Look for the remedy inside the pain.
